    • Describe Copyright Law and plagiarism and how you can respect this law and avoid plagiarizing
    • Identify what Fair Use, Public Domain, and Creative Commons are
    • Identify how to provide a path for others to use creative works
  • Read directions on how to upload a Canvas module into your Canvas course.

Introduction to Video Projects
  • In this 30-minute module, students will be able to:
    • Formulate a plan for a video, building off of familiar skills including essay writing
    • Evaluate video production decisions, including location, sound and light
    • Demonstrate knowledge of media licenses, including Creative Commons and public domain
    • Identify steps of the video editing process and resources for learning editing skills

Introduction to Podcast / Audio Projects
  • In this 30-minute module, students will be able to:
    • Compose plans for podcasts using best practices for writing for audio 
    • Evaluate podcast production decisions, including recording equipment and location
    • Demonstrate knowledge of media licenses, including Creative Commons and public domain
    • Identify steps of the podcast editing process and resources for learning editing skills

Introduction to Visual Design Projects
  • In this 15-minute module, students will be able to:
    • Formulate a plan for a design project and identify design creation resources
    • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of design including color, font, and space
    • Evaluate design decisions
