  • Schedule an in-person session with Jessica Kohout-Tailor that mirrors similar content from the asynchronous modules regarding types of information sources and how to find and think about scholarly sources, as well as library resources.

Before beginning research on Mapping the Controversy or other assignment that requires secondary sources.

  • After completing items in this 20-minute module, students will be able to:
    • Identify steps to begin the research process on their landmark
    • Locate and search sources to help with historical and social discourse research
    • Identify strategies to evaluate sources of information
  • Read directions on how to upload a Canvas module into your Canvas course.

    • Identify relevant resources to use for academic research (databases, Libraries Search Tool called "FindIt@Clemson," and Google Scholar) and how to use these resources
    • Identify the advantages and limitations of these resources
    • Identify how to evaluate research materials from these resources
  • Read directions on how to upload a Canvas module into your Canvas course.
