The Clemson University Libraries are pleased to offer access to recorded music in a few different formats. Naxos Music Library leans heavy to the classical side with some 191,409 discs or 2.9 million tracks (4/24). This service can be streamed via the web. It offers robust support for artist searching and genre specific detail.
Additional music sources include the Music CD collection in Cooper Library. Artists and titles are searchable in the catalog. Titles found in the catalog may be requested for delivery to the nearest convenient library location (the collection is not currently browsable in person). Some 5,000 items from Anton Bruckner to Zoot Sims in Paris are available. Classic jazz vocalists like Ella Fitzgerald as well as school-run minivan chart-toppers Frozen on Broadway are also available. If you find yourself temporarily relocated from construction with a new officemate, try Johnny Cash at San Quentin : the complete 1969 concert.
Long exposure to my student workers compels me to add this Introduction to the Compact Disc. Also, if your work computer lacks a CD/DVD/BluRay drive, one may be checked out from the Education Media Center or Cooper Library.
If your response to the last paragraph introducing CDs was along the lines of "Ok, wise guy..." here are 108 Rare and Bizarre Media Types to entertain you.
