The Open Parks Network (OPN) project seeks to serve as "the Knowledge Pipeline for the Parks Community" by digitizing park data and maintaining it in an accessible cyberinfrastructure.
The purpose of the OPN is "to unite the highly distributed parks community of managers, researchers, policy-makers, and citizens, through the development and use of cyberinfrastructure, to foster a greater distribution of knowledge and facilitate more informed, science-based management decisions."
