Biomedical Data Science and Informatics is an interdisciplinary doctoral program offered by Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina. Faculty for the BDSI program come from the College of Engineering, Computing, and Applied Sciences and the department of Public Health Sciences, and from the department of Public Health Sciences at MUSC.
Students in the BDSI program apply concepts and methods from computer science and other quantitative disciplines together with principles of information science to solve challenging problems in biology, medicine and public health. Areas of specialization include Clinical and Translational Bioinformatics, Precision Medicine, or Population Health.
