Clemson Online: Request Materials

I Need an Article!

Search the journal title (NOT the article title) you need in the Clemson Library Catalog.
(Example: You need the article "Emerging Health Benefits from Cocoa and Chocolate," published in the Journal of Medicinal Food in June of 2000. To find out if we have it at Clemson, search Journal of Medicinal Food in the library catalog.)

  • If it's not available, place an InterLibrary Loan request. Start by logging in to ILLiad. The first time you use the system you will need to create an account.  After that, sign in to place a New Request for the article.

I Need a Book!

1. Search the title of the book you need in the Clemson Library Catalog.  If it is available:

  • Sign in and click the "request" button in the catalog and then:
    • Select your pick-up location
    • Choose "Cooper Library" to come pick up the book at the Cooper Service Desk.
    • Or choose "Personal Delivery - Home Address" to have the book mailed to your home.  The Resource Sharing office will contact you to confirm your address.
  • If the book you need is not available, you might be able to request it from another South Carolina library through PASCAL.  (Remember to choose a Pickup Institution that's convenient for you!  PASCAL books cannot be mailed to you.)

Questions? Contact Rodger Bishop at rodgerb@clemson.edu or call (864) 656-5180

2. If it's not there either, place an InterLibrary Loan request. Create an account, then sign in to place a New Request. (Please note: InterLibrary Loan books will be mailed to the address that is in the InterLibrary Loan system.)

HINT: If you search the WorldCat catalog and find your book there, click the "Request If Not Held By Clemson" button, sign in to your InterLibrary Loan account, and the book request form will automatically be filled out for you!
