Chicanos Por La CausaCPLC was founded in 1969 to confront discrimination against Mexican-American students in Phoenix as part of the larger movement led by Cesar Chavez, Dolores Huerta, and others. Today, CPLC has grown to defend the rights of people of all backgrounds, regardless of ethnicity, race, age, gender, orientation, or immigration status, while maintaining a special competence in meeting the needs of the Latino and Spanish-speaking population. We provide direct services impacting almost 380,000 lives annually in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas.
