The Charleston Design Center Library (CDCL) is a mini-branch of the Gunnin Architecture Library at Clemson University. The CDCL is located in Charleston within the School of Architecture in the Cigar Factory Building and features a small collection of print books and journals that focus on the programs that are offered in Charleston. The collection totals 4,974 items.
The Gunnin Architecture Library is one of two branch libraries on the Clemson University Campus. Located in the center of Lee Hall, the Gunnin Library serves the College of Architecture, Art and Construction. The library is immediately adjacent to faculty and staff offices, studios, classrooms, and a courtyard. The library provides quiet study and collaborative spaces for 84 occupants. One networked group study room is available to reserve for up to six students and one quiet study room is available for six students. One networked printer and one Zeta scanner is available for students use. The library also offers a self-checkout station and a downloadable self-checkout app. Two exhibition cases, interior gallery walls, and bookshelves feature creative scholarship and book displays that reflect the programs within the College of Architecture, Art and Construction. Print books and journals that focus on these subjects are housed within this library and in remote storage at the Depot. Approximately 39,000 items are held in the collection in Lee Hall, which includes technology items for checkout (as of July 2024, items numbered 38,961). Approximately 24,000 items are at the Depot.
