Confidential Resources

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) 

Students seeking services should call CAPS reception at 864-656-2451 during business hours (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). Counselors will be available to conduct a brief phone screen to determine the best way to serve your needs.

After-Hours CAPS: An after-hours counselor can be reached by calling the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) office at 864-656-2451 and selecting option 2 from the menu.

Interpersonal Violence Prevention  

The prevention coordinator can be contacted if you are interested in receiving training and education related to interpersonal violence for a group of students, student organizations, classes, employees, and so on.

Interpersonal Violence Response (IVR) - Private 

IVR provides crisis response, resources referrals, and advocacy for students who have been affected by any form of interpersonal violence including dating and intimate partner abuse, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, and stalking.  

You can connect with a response coordinator by filling out a CARE report form or contacting them directly.

Title IX (Clemson University)

The Office of Access and Equity handles all official reports of incidents related to sexual discrimination which includes sexual harassment, sexual violence, stalking, and domestic and/or relationship violence. All affected students (those who have filed a report and those who choose not to) can receive supportive measures spanning from academic accommodations to housing challenges and beyond through this office. It is also responsible for educating faculty, staff, and students on interpersonal violence prevention.

Interpersonal Violence Resource Alliance (IVRA)

A group of trauma-informed resources available to the Clemson University community, consisting of representatives from offices across campus who provide interpersonal violence-related services. These services range from prevention education and response training to direct services supporting students who have been victimized. As part of Clemson's commitment to be an outstanding place to live, learn, work and grow, IVRA works with members of the University who are survivors or allies to use the alliance as a resource.
