Citation managers

There are several software solutions to help keep track of the articles you reference and even generate proper citations! These are called either "citation managers" or "bibliographic managers". Here are some of the more well-known ones:

Style guides

Clemson Libraries has put together this guide which collects resources for the popular citations styles. The guide includes links to various resources, including the oft-used Purdue OWL guides, which contains up-to-date citation rules and examples.

Campus resources

Clemson's Writing Center is available to help with all stages of the writing process, and is open to all members of the Clemson community. As part of their tutoring program, they have drop-in sessions available in the Academic Success Center and Cooper Library. Check their website for details or to schedule a tutoring appointment.

Also, remember that the librarians at Clemson Libraries are available to help with finding and managing resources! We can also demonstrate proper citation formats. Contact us in person at the Library Services Desk in Cooper or virtually using the links/numbers in the left column on this page!
