Microforms: Periodicals

A guide to finding and using microfilm and microfiche at the Clemson University Libraries

Article Request Form

Please search the Library Catalog for the title of the journal/magazine to see if the article you need is available in one of our databases or in print before submitting your request.

Periodicals on Microfilm

All microfilm for journals and magazines is located in Off-Site Shelving at the Library Depot.

Requested articles of 40 pages or less will be scanned and emailed in PDF format to the requestor within 24 hours, excluding weekends and holidays.

For articles over 40 pages, the reel of microfilm or microfiche will be delivered to the Library Services Desk in Cooper Library for pickup. You will be notified by email with the item is available. Please allow 24 hours for retrieval. You can use the microfilm reader/printers on the 4th floor west to view the film and make copies if needed.

For Instructors

If you assign a project that requires students to use a section of microfilm please request the microfilm reels be placed on Reserve so that students can access the film when needed.

For example: students need to browse a specific newspaper or magazine for a topic during the 1950s.
