HathiTrust

Basic Search:

• You can search for phrases by using quotes (e.g., "children's fiction")
• Boolean Searching: Use AND and OR (capitalized) between words to combine them with Boolean logic: e.g., (heart OR cardiac) AND surgery will find items about heart surgery or cardiac surgery

Advanced Search:

• Allows you to choose whether you are searching for all, any, or the exact phrasing of the words you enter in the search box. It also gives you multiple search fields, including options for choosing the year, format, and language of the document you are looking for.

Within HathiTrust you can create an account and organize documents you find within a Collection.

If you are affiliated with a HathiTrust Partner institution, you can log in by clicking on the "Log In" button and selecting your institution. If you are not affiliated with a partner institution, you can log in as a guest. This will allow you to create a collection of documents you find, but it does not give you the same access as an affiliate though.
