Clemson Online: Request Delivery of Materials

I Need an Article!

If you want to have an article delivered electronically, follow these steps:

  • Search for the article using The Summon Search Tool.
    • If the article does not appear in the results, put the title in quotations (" ") and check the box for "Add results beyond your library's collection."
  • If the full-text is not available, the search result will show "Citation Online" and you can submit a request for Interlibrary Loan delivery at the bottom of the citation linker page.

OR

Search the journal title (NOT the article title) you need in the Clemson Library Catalog.
(Example: You need the article "Emerging Health Benefits from Cocoa and Chocolate," published in the Journal of Medicinal Food. To find out if we have it at Clemson, search Journal of Medicinal Food in the library catalog.)

I Need a Book!

If you aren't near Clemson and can't come to campus to pick up a book, follow these steps to have it delivered to you:

  1. Search for the title of the book you need in the Clemson Library Catalog and click on the book title to view the full record
  2. Click the "Request" button, located on the right side of the page and then:
    1. Enter your Username and Password
    2. Select Off-Campus Programs Delivery as your pick-up location
    3. Type your complete mailing address in the "Comments or special notes" field
  3. The items are checked out to your My Library Account and mailed to the confirmed address in two business days via UPS 2-day express.
    1. For your convenience, a pre-paid return envelope is included with the shipment.
    2. Items must be post-marked by the item’s due date, which will be listed on the check-out email sent to you upon request confirmation.   
  • The mail delivery service is not available to students living within a 30-mile radius of Clemson University's main campus.

 

If the book you need is already checked out, click the link to "Check PASCAL for a copy of this item" in the catalog to order it (for free!) from a different library.

If you can't find it at the Clemson Libraries, search for the book in the PASCAL Delivers catalog, request it, and have it delivered within 3 days. (Remember to choose a Pickup Institution that's convenient for you! Even if you can't get to our library, you can have PASCAL materials sent to any pickup location listed, all of which you can pick up using your TigerOne card.)

If it's not available from PASCAL, place an Interlibrary Loan request. Create an account, then sign in to place a New Request.

  • Please note: Interlibrary Loan books may be mailed to you at your preferred address. To do so, log into your ILLiad account, select Change User Information, and select Mail to Off Campus Address under the Pick Up Location section.
  • When library staff receive your book, they will contact you to confirm your address. Upon confirmation, they will mail you the item (with return postage).

HINT: If you search the WorldCat catalog and find your book there, click the "Request If Not Held By Clemson" link, sign in to your Interlibrary Loan account, and the book request form will automatically be filled out for you!
